City Lights captures the interstellar glam of Bowie’s Low, mixed with the trance-like vibe of Broadcast. Moth to the Flame is perfect for a late-night drive, while Simple Days feels like the best song Broadcast never wrote. "Broken Boys" is a straight-up rocker, while Song for Eliza May tugs at the heartstrings, written for the duo’s daughter.

Graham's guitar work is superb a always, but his saxophone steals the show on more than one track, adding a unique layer to the album’s atmosphere. Closing with Sunrise, a track that we would love to see live, City Lights solidifies itself as one of the top releases of 2024. Overlooked by many, at Chattan it’s the release of the year.
